We believe in an environment of collaborative care, so all our physicians work together to deliver the best possible care to you and your growing baby. When you go into labor the obstetrician on call will attend to you during your labor and delivery. We perform all our deliveries at the Women’s Pavilion at Northside Hospital Gwinnett. We invite you to learn more about their baby-friendly designated facility.

Maternal Gynerations’ physicians and technicians are experts in high-risk pregnancies. The well-being and safety of and your baby is our priority, and our combination of care providers, patient relationships and state-of-the-art technology provide the support you need during this momentous time. Our services include:

High Risk Pregnancy Care

“High-risk” pregnancies require a high level of attentiveness. At Maternal Gynerations, our experienced and knowledgeable care providers understand the best methods and provide the extra care needed to help turn delicate situations into healthy, successful deliveries. We treat a variety of obstetric complications and also perform obstetric 3D/4D ultrasounds and fetal monitoring within our facility. If we encounter any medical or surgical condition outside our field of expertise, we help our patients find appropriate consultation by a qualified specialist. Whether you are over 35, facing gestational diabetes, hypertension or beyond, we can help you manage the stress and mix of emotions so you can enjoy your pregnancy.

Non-Invasive Prenatal Screening

Thanks to our cutting-edge technology, we can now learn more about your baby both earlier in the pregnancy and with minimum fuss. A simple blood test can reveal a number of factors about your baby, including gender, much sooner than via ultrasound. Thanks to Maternal Gynerations’ on-site laboratory, we can determine results much sooner.

Lactation Counseling

Jennifer McKinney, WHNP, IBCLC

Our lactation consultant ensures breastfeeding mothers have the support they need. As an International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant, Jennifer McKinney, WHNP, IBCLC is available for consultations in the office.

Postpartum Depression Support Group

Many women suffer from postpartum depression. Instead of enjoying one of the happiest times of their lives, they are hit with damaging feelings of worthlessness, despair and helplessness. Although you may feel alone, your feelings are real and many other women suffer too. Our bi-weekly postpartum support group creates a safe place for encouragement, comfort and advice. These sessions are open to all women – you do not have to be a Maternal Gynerations patient to attend.

Cord Blood

All our obstetricians are trained in cord blood and tissue retrieval and can collect the cells in the hospital during delivery. Umbilical cord blood is packed with stem cells — approximately 10 times more than samples collected from bone marrow. Those cells can be saved to combat cancer, blood diseases and some immune system disorders should they develop at a future time. If cord blood and tissue retrieval interests you, we are happy to help you with the process.
