I was born in Missouri but moved to Florence, Alabama when I was three where I lived until I went to college.
I'm the fourth of five children.
I spent a month working with the Navajo and another month working with Australian aborigines during medical school.
OB/GYN was the one field I knew I was not going to do when I started medical school. Never say never!
In medical school, I received a box of 64 full-sized Snickers bars and finished them all in a week (about 9 a day). Snickers are still my favorite candy bar.
My wife and I got married 11 months after our first date. We now have two sons and a daughter.
I'm obsessed with flashlights and have them everywhere.
